Healing Prayer Service
Hundreds from near and far join us on Sunday for the 12:15 Mass. Following Mass the statues of the Saints are taken out of the Church for our traditional procession. We process through the streets accompanied by the Rosary and the sounds of the Verdi Band.
At the conclusion of the procession statues are returned to the Church and are greeted by a joyous crowd singing hymns. A short Healing Prayer Service is conducted invoking the blessings of SS. Cosmas and Damian. At the conclusion of Service individuals may approach the altar rail to be blessed by a priest or deacon.
The Church remains open for private prayer and the veneration of the relics of SS. Cosmas and Damian.
OPENING HYMNGATHER US IN
OPENING PRAYERFather, Your Son accepted our sufferings to teach us the patience in human illness. Hear the prayers we offer for our sick brothers and sisters. May all who suffer pain, illness or disease realize that they are chosen to be saints and know that they are joined to Christ in His suffering for the salvation of the world, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
